Since
1995, Alyson Adventures has offered
active, outdoor vacations for gay
men, lesbians, and friends.
Company
founder Sasha Alyson already had a long history of involvement
in the gay community. In 1980 he founded Alyson Publications,
one of the country's earliest and most influential gay
publishing companies, issuing many groundbreaking books,
including many of the first for gay and lesbian teenagers
(One Teenager in Ten), and for children of lesbian
and gay parents (Heather Has Two Mommies). He also
founded Bay Windows, Boston's gay newspaper.
Today,
Alyson Adventures continues to break new ground, greatly
expanding the range of travel opportunities available to
lesbians and gay men. We offer the camaraderie of group
travel, while also preserving the flexibility, challenge,
and choices usually associated with solo travel. Our repeated
awards from Out & About confirm that we've succeeded.
